Do you have an idea for a short Drama, Comedy or Mockumentary script that could be developed into an awesome online series? We are looking for an entertaining script with the potential to become more than just a short but an innovative online micro series. The winning scriptwriter will get the chance to receive online exposure, script development and the chance to get your pilot episode produced with a 10k budget!
The #Moveonline Scriptwriting Contest is open to everyone with a passion for writing and we are looking for a Comedy, Mockumentary or Drama that has legs to become more than just a one off short. So get your thinking cap on and get creative!

What we are looking for:

  1. Creative storylines:
    so think out of the box. it needs to be original and unique. Be bold, fresh and capture a story that will move and shake the audience into wanting more.

  2. Characters that stand out:
    get the right characters so that the audience can relate to, hate or laugh at. Its these characters that will draw people back to watch, so make magic happen!

  3. Entertaining scripts:
    are essential to draw an audience back to watch more. Make your script stand out, bring something new and don’t be afraid to try something different.

The Prize

The #Moveonline Scriptwriting Contest gives you the chance to get your script developed and produced into a pilot, distributed online to receive maximum exposure with a budget of £10,000! The winning scriptwriter will also join our film collective, providing a place to develop, gain opportunities and further exposure for your work. Your pilot will have the potential to be developed into an online micro series!

Entry Requirements

  • Write a creative script between 5-10 pages (5-6 minute screen time)
  • It must be a Drama, Comedy or Mockumentary
  • Your script should contain no more than 5-6 speaking characters (over 16 years old)
  • It should be set in one major location and be technically viable!!!
  • Only open to writers based in the UK

How to Submit

  • Become a member of our free creative hub Step2CollaboTV
  • Include a brief synopsis of how the series will progress (no more than 1 A4 page)
  • Scripts should be created in CeltX or Final draft and be sent as a PDF file
